BY1OAK was founded in 2009 by two friends. In December 2022 we opened a new store next to our office. BY1OAK store is a jewelry store located in the Jordaan in Amsterdam and also stocks a curated selection of our favorites. BY1OAK is growing and that’s why we are looking for ambitious colleagues to join our HQ team!
You will be part of a small team, with a lot of room for creativity and ideas. At BY1OAK, you are working very close with the actual product. You will learn about materials, production and collections. You are able to develop your knowhow of the jewelry industry and what it’s like to work in a creative and dynamic company.

Position: Parttime | 20 - 32 hours a week.

The brand has been online for more than sixteen years and has opened a store on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam: open six days a week from Monday ‘till Saturday. BY1OAK’s company culture is ambitious, entrepreneurial, and creative, with a small team we find it most important to deliver the best quality jewelry, with the best possible service.
As a sales representative, you will work closely with our handmade products and be able to show our customers everything the brand has to offer. It is essential to have a sales mentality, a hands-on approach, and the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the store. Together with the team, you are responsible for welcoming, approaching, and advising our customers based on your knowledge and expertise. To assist our customers in the best possible way, it is essential to work with our jewelry.
In this role you will:
- Welcome and advise customers on all levels. For this role, it is important to have a good relationship with your colleagues and our customers. You are organized, responsible, and take ownership of your work.
- Be kind, welcoming, and patient with everyone who enters the store. We want every customer to feel seen and heard, leaving the store happy and energized.
- Responsible for the look and feel of the store; this requires organizational skills, a high sense of responsibility, and ownership.
- Develop knowledge of the collection, products, and materials.
- In addition to the store, this is a combined role with our atelier, where we pack and process our online orders on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone with:
- A creative mindset and exceptional eye for detail.
- Structured and organized skills are a must.
- A hands-on mentality and always looking for ways to improve and grow.
- Experience in retail and a star advising and selling to our customers.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- You are living in or nearby Amsterdam.
- You are available on Saturdays!

The brand has been active online for more than sixteen years and has opened a store on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam, open six days a week from Monday to Saturday. BY1OAK’s company culture is ambitious, entrepreneurial, and creative. With a small team, we consider it most important to deliver the highest quality jewelry with the best possible service, both online and in our physical store.
In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day activities of BY1OAK, with a focus on Customer Care. Together with your colleague, you will be the face of the brand and enjoy helping and advising our customers on all levels. At BY1OAK, Customer Care and maintaining a good relationship with our customers is very important; we aim to provide a superior customer experience. In addition to customer service, you will be partly responsible for the brand’s back office, administration, and E-commerce.
In this role you will:
- Take care of a part of our Customer Care
- Ensure that the process from purchase to after-sales runs smoothly.
- Process requests and returns.
- Assist with back-office and administrative tasks.
- Assist with E-commerce; update our website with current collections and information.
- Think creatively about how to keep improving our webshop.
We are looking for someone with:
- The ability to deliver exceptional service, communication skills are a must.
- Excellent written and verbal Dutch and English communication.
- Experience in- and passion for the online and fashion industry.
- A hands-on mentality and eager to learn.
- Organized, structured and detail-oriented skills.
- Someone who loves to take care of our customers’ needs and is always happy to help.
- Feeling for writing texts, both creatively as formal.
